Step Up 2 the Mic is hosted by Talia Rayna, a teen actress and singer. Kids will get professional feedback from the judges and coaches – including vocal coaches; video production coaches and vocal demo production.
Step Up 2 the Mic is hosted by Talia Rayna, a teen actress and singer. Kids will get professional feedback from the judges and coaches – including vocal coaches; video production coaches and vocal demo production.
To be considered, you must upload a video before April 15, 2013, showing you (or your duet/group) singing a song A Cappella (without musical accompaniment). If your video is accepted and posted on the website, others can view it and vote on it. 50 semi-finalists will be chosen by a combination of popular vote and judges.
The fifty (50) semi-finalists will be chosen from online submissions. The show will begin airing its 13 episodes starting in 2nd Quarter 2013. The 50 semi-finalists will be reduced to ten (10) finalists over the first 5 episodes of the show. The 10 finalists will be reduced to 3 finalists over a series of tests on the show.
The final 3 will be brought to the School of Rock in Scottsdale, Arizona for the final elimination down to the winner.
The Prizes:
Besides fame and bragging rights, the winner of Step Up 2 the Mic will get these awesome prizes:
- A Production deal / recording contract with IME Productions (a division of IME Records)
- A Home Audio Recording Studio
- A scholarship to the School of Rock
