Look out for Auditions 2014

Step 1: Create an Artist Account

Sign Up HERE at nbcthevoice.com to create yourArtist Account.

You will receive an Artist Account number and once you’ve confirmed your e-mail address, you’ll be able to customize your Artist Profile and register for an audition city.
Step 2: Choose An Audition City
Once you’ve created your Artist Account, you must select the city you’d like to attend for the Open Call Audition.
You will be able to select a city, date, and time group of your choice. Only come to the audition on the day & time you’ve registered for.
Step 3: Print Your Artist Audition Pass
ONE WEEK before your audition day, you will receive your personal Artist Audition Pass. It will be e-mailed to you. You will also be able to download your pass by logging into your Artist Account.
You MUST PRINT and BRING your Artist Audition Pass along with a photo ID in order to audition.
Step 4: Auditions
Your selected city, date, time & location will be printed on your Artist Audition Pass.
Only attend your selected audition day and time.
DO NOT FORGET: Your printed Artist Audition Pass and your Photo ID.
You may be asked to a callback – please plan accordingly.

ABOUT THE SHOW

 Step Up 2 the Mic is hosted by Talia Rayna, a teen actress and singer. Kids will get professional feedback from the judges and coaches – including vocal coaches; video production coaches and vocal demo production.
To be considered, you must upload a video before April 15, 2013, showing you (or your duet/group) singing a song  A Cappella (without musical accompaniment).  If your video is accepted and posted on the website, others can view it and vote on it.  50 semi-finalists will be chosen by a combination of popular vote and judges.
The fifty (50) semi-finalists will be chosen from online submissions.  The show will begin airing its 13 episodes starting in 2nd Quarter 2013.  The 50 semi-finalists will be reduced to ten (10) finalists over the first 5 episodes of the show.  The 10 finalists will be reduced to 3 finalists over a series of tests on the show. 
The final 3 will be brought to the School of Rock in Scottsdale, Arizona for the final elimination down to the winner. 

The Prizes: 

Besides fame and bragging rights, the winner of Step Up 2 the Mic will get these awesome prizes:
  • A Production deal / recording contract with IME Productions (a division of IME Records)
  • A Home Audio Recording Studio
  • A scholarship to the School of Rock

ABOUT THE SHOW

"The Sing-Off," the unique competition series that sings a different tune and is hosted by multi-platinum recording artist Nick Lachey, returns for Season 3 this fall in a weekly format with two-hour episodes.
The show scours the country in search of the best a cappella groups, ranging in various sizes and ages. This year, the competition has expanded to the 16 very best groups, who will perform popular songs in weekly competitions, which will culminate with a live finale revealing the grand-prize winner. The groups will be competing for America's vote and a chance to walk away with the ultimate prize - a Sony Music recording contract and $200,000.
There's no lip-synching, back-up bands or safety net. One group will be eliminated every week during this one-of-a-kind battle of voices that will lead up to a live finale - where viewers will decide the winner.
Celebrity judges who will critique the singing groups using their musical expertise, are Ben Folds (Ben Folds Five), Shawn Stockman (Boyz II Men) and Sara Bareilles ("Love Song" and "King of Anything").
"The Sing-Off" is produced by Joel Gallen's ("America's Best Dance Crew") Tenth Planet Productions, Outlaw Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television.
